Hidden Canyon is located on the east side of Zion about 1000 feet above the floor of the main canyon. They call it a “hanging canyon” because of how high it rests. This hike has a challenging amount of elevation gain to overcome before you reach the entrance to the canyon, but once you get there some fun exploring and scrambling awaits. Hidden Canyon – Adventure Statistics

Trailhead: Weeping Rock Trailhead
Distance: 5km (3 miles) round trip
Elevation Gain: 300m (1000ft)
Difficulty: 6/10 – Well trafficked, lots of scrambling

The Narrows in Zion National Park is a unique hike that takes you on a journey through the water up the Virgin River. The walls of the canyon stand roughly a thousand feet tall and are only twenty to thirty feet wide at some of the narrowest points. This is one of Zion’s most popular hikes. Angels Landing is the top attraction in Zion National Park and one of the most famous hikes in any US National Park. The first three quarters of this hike follow a paved trail to a scenic lookout point. The final portion of this daring hike traverses a narrow trail, with steep drop-offs on either side, to a lofty perch that provides a breathtaking 360-degree view of Zion Canyon. The Subway is one of the highlights of Zion National Park and is located outside the main canyon. The Subway can be done from the top down or from the bottom up. To do the top down route you will need climbing equipment and rope for rappelling. We did the nontechnical bottom up route which takes you out and back to the Subway.
