GROTTO CANYON

Grotto Canyon is a relatively simple trail walk with interesting features that make it a very worthwhile excursion. Walking between the narrow walls of the canyon provides an eerie experience and at the end of the canyon there is a small waterfall and cave to explore. HA LING PEAK

Ha Ling is a peak at the western end of Mount Lawrence Grassi. Ha Ling is a very popular well-trafficked trail because of its convenient location just south of the city of Canmore. Ha Ling is a moderately difficult scramble with steep consistent elevation gain and spectacular views from the summit. Check out the video of our adventure on Ha Ling here!

HALEAKALA

Hiking the Sliding Sands and Halemau’u trail on Haleakala is a difficult but rewarding adventure. It’s a 17.8 km (11 mile) one-way hike that takes you down into the crater of Haleakala and then out to the Halemau’u Trail Parking Area. Although you’re in Hawaii, the temperatures and landscape up on the volcano make it feel like you’re in another world! Check out the video of our adventure on Haleakala here!

HEART CREEK TRAIL

Heart Creek Trail is a popular hike that is suitable for people of all abilities.  The hike offers beautiful scenery along an easy walking trail to a waterfall. At the end of the trail if you’re feeling adventurous you can climb into the waterfall canyon or hike to the top of the falls. Check out the video of our adventure hiking Heart Creek Trail here!

HIDDEN CANYON

Hidden Canyon is located on the east side of Zion about 1000 feet above the floor of the main canyon. They call it a “hanging canyon” because of how high it rests. This hike has a challenging amount of elevation gain to overcome before you reach the entrance to the canyon, but once you get there some fun exploring and scrambling awaits. HONOMALINO BAY

Homonalino Beach is very quiet, secluded and not well known to tourists. Unlike many of the Big Island’s Public Beaches, Honomalino isn’t accessible by road. This makes it a nice peaceful and quiet place to relax. The hike to the beach from the parking lot is just under a mile, requires little effort, and when you reach the beach, you’ll be rewarded with picturesque scenery and a beautiful black sand beach. HOW TO BUILD A QUINZEE

ICE BOX CANYON

Ice Box Canyon is our favorite hike in Red Rock Canyon! The canyon provides shade on a hot summer day and there is lots of boulder hopping to keep things interesting as you hike into the canyon. Our guide contains essential information, photos, a detailed map, and step-by-step instructions to the back of the canyon where scrambling opportunities and seasonal waterfalls await. ICELINE TRAIL

Iceline Trail is located in Yoho National Park just north of the town of Field, BC.  Iceline Trail provides incredible views of the Yoho Valley and Takakkaw Falls. The trail switchbacks up the west side of the valley, then turns north and takes you past a glacier, alpine lakes, and waterfalls. JOHNSTON CANYON

Johnston Canyon is close to Banff and rated as an easy hike. The trail is mostly paved, with railings and bridges, and it takes you on a journey through a stunning hundred-foot-high canyon with beautiful trees, streams and waterfalls. Between Upper Falls, Lower Falls and the Ink Pots, there are lots of beautiful sights to see along the way. Check out the video of our adventure hiking Johnston Canyon here!

KIHOLO BAY

Hiking to Kiholo Bay is a nice short walk along the Kohala Coast. Kiholo Bay is a tide pool known for having uniquely turquoise water. The turquoise water is a result of ocean saltwater meeting and mixing with fresh water. The hike follows the beach over black lava rock, passing a flooded lava tube known as the Queen’s Bath. LADY MACDONALD

Located on the north side of the town of Canmore is Mount Lady Macdonald. Lady Mac is a big old piece of rock that offers plenty of stunning Rocky Mountain views the whole hike up. Lady Mac is a challenge and really allows the hiker to experience what it’s like hiking in the Canadian Rockies. Because of its convenient location, it is a local favorite and is one of the mountains climbed as part of Canmore’s Triple Crown or 4 peak challenge.
